The lower and upper blade set is the pair of curved blades mounted on the central shaft of the vegetable cutter/mixer, compatible with Omas and Dampa brand machines. The two blades, stacked and slightly offset, spin at high speed inside the bowl finely chopping the product (vegetables, meat, herbs) while the bowl itself rotates slowly to feed the product under the blades.

With use the blades lose their edge and typical symptoms are: coarsely or unevenly chopped product, longer processing times, product that gets "crushed" instead of cleanly cut. In these cases the blade pair (upper and lower) must be replaced to restore clean, efficient cutting.
