The Unger system perforated plate, model B98, is the meat mincer component that determines the grinding grade: meat is pushed through the holes before being cut by the rotating blade. The Unger B98 system is one of the most common formats on professional bench and production meat mincers, where plate and blade work together for a clean, even cut.

This plate has hole 0 (one notch), the finest hole size in the Unger B98 range: it produces a very fine grind, suited to smooth mixes, fillings and emulsified products where a uniform texture is needed.

Made from stainless steel, it resists corrosion and the acids in meat and is food-contact safe, keeping the sharp edges of the holes over time.

Replace it when the holes are worn, enlarged or blunted: typical signs are uneven grinding, meat being crushed rather than cleanly cut, or noticeably longer processing times.
