The Cimbali blind filter, code 018C61, is a spare part for professional Cimbali espresso machines. Unlike standard perforated filter baskets used to brew coffee, the blind filter has no holes: it is fitted into the portafilter in place of the normal filter and is used for backflushing, the reverse-flow wash of the brew group with a specific cleaning detergent, an essential periodic operation to remove oily coffee residue from the shower screen and group valve.
