The upper vela cover is a specific spare part for the Sirman Mirra 300 V slicer (position 52 in the exploded parts diagram). The "vela" is the reference guide plate against which the food slides before cutting; it sits flush with the blade edge and is adjusted via the thickness dial to set the slice thickness. The upper cover protects and completes the top of this guide-plate assembly.

Through wear, impacts during use, or cleaning, the cover can crack, deform or lose its correct fit on the guide-plate assembly: in these cases it must be replaced to maintain protection and the correct fit of the guide plate during cutting.
