The blade cover (paralama) is the guard that covers the non-cutting edge of the slicer blade: it has a safety function, protecting the operator's hands from the edge during use, disassembly for cleaning and sharpening. This spare part is specific to ABO brand, Euro 300 model slicers, with a round attachment and a Ø 6MA thread fixing (6 mm clamping screw).
It should be replaced when deformed, cracked, when the fixing thread is stripped, or when it no longer fits correctly onto the blade assembly: a damaged or poorly secured blade cover compromises operator safety and may vibrate or shift during cutting. It is fitted by tightening the part onto the round attachment via the 6MA threaded screw/pin.
