Thanks to the self-lubricating plastic material, the nylon bushing reduces friction and wear between the metal components, ensuring smooth rotation of the knob. When the original bushing is worn or shows excessive play, the knob tends to spin freely or fails to hold the set position: replacing it solves the problem.
