Bushing for tie rod – countersunk (svasata) version. Bush/spacer for the blade-guard tie rod of meat slicers. The countersunk (chamfered) seat ensures centring and bearing on the tie rod; not interchangeable with the straight-profile version.
This bushing for tie rod in the countersunk (svasata) version is the bush/spacer that works on the blade-guard tie rod of meat slicers. The blade-guard tie rod is the threaded rod that holds the blade guard (the protection covering the non-cutting edge of the blade) in place: the bushing slides onto the tie rod and acts as a seat/spacer, keeping the correct positioning and clearance of the blade-guard assembly.
The feature of the countersunk version is the chamfered (countersunk) seat that receives the bearing of the tie rod or screw: compared with the flat-shoulder version, the countersink ensures centring and seating on matching conical/countersunk housings. For this reason it is not interchangeable with the straight-profile bushing and must be chosen according to the seat provided on the machine.
Replace it when the bushing is worn, ovalised or shows excessive play: a worn bush lets the blade guard wobble and compromises its correct fastening, with safety consequences during cutting.
