K5AB flat beater (spatula) for KitchenAid 5-quart bowl-lift stand mixers. It is the standard attachment for medium-density mixtures: cake batter, cookie dough, mashed potatoes and any preparation that needs uniform mixing without incorporating too much air.

• Coated stainless steel with a flexible edge that scrapes ingredients against the bowl walls during mixing
• Top-rack dishwasher safe
• Compatible with KitchenAid stand mixers K4, K5, KP50, KSM5, KSM50, KSM450, KSM500PS

The flat beater is subject to wear: the coating can chip or the edge can lose its original flexibility, reducing mixing effectiveness and risking releasing fragments into the batter. In these cases it should be replaced.
