Replacement shower screen for La San Marco lever brewing groups. The shower screen is the perforated disc fitted under the group head that spreads hot water evenly over the coffee puck in the portafilter: an even extraction and consistent crema depend on it.

• Type: shower screen for La San Marco lever group
• Diameter: approx. 50.5 mm
• Compatibility: La San Marco lever-group machines, including 20/20 Leva, 85 Leva, New 80 Leva, V6 Leva, Duale
• Item reference: 3.026.065

With use the shower screen gets caked with coffee oils and residues, and its holes clog or deform: typical symptoms are uneven flow or flow from one side of the portafilter only, irregular dripping, and bitter or rancid-tasting coffee. When this happens it should be replaced — it is also one of the cheapest spare parts on the machine.

Good practice: remove and clean the shower screen periodically and replace it at regular intervals together with the group gasket, to keep the quality in the cup consistent.
