Old-type shower screen for the Faema E61 group, original code 9.001.554.

• Type: grid-pattern shower screen, old type
• Compatibility: Faema E61 group and machines with an E61-type group from other brands (e.g. Wega, Vibiemme, Expobar, Bezzera)

The E61 group, originally developed by Faema and later adopted with the same construction layout by many other manufacturers, fits a grid-pattern shower screen under the group's shower that distributes hot water over the ground coffee during extraction. This "old type" grid version is particularly suited to wetter/oilier ground coffee, since the hole pattern helps water flow through without pooling. It should be replaced when clogged with limescale or oily residue, causing slow or uneven extraction from the portafilter.
