The pressure switch is the electromechanical component that controls the water level inside the dishwasher tank: it senses the pressure generated by the water column through a small hose connected to the tank and, via an internal diaphragm, opens or closes the electrical contact that operates the fill solenoid valve and the wash cycle.

- Calibration: 123/75 (activates at 123 mm and resets at 75 mm water column)

Replacement is needed when the dishwasher fails to fill with enough water, dishes come out dirty due to an insufficient wash level, or the water intake does not stop and the tank overflows. On some models with an electronic control board, the fault is reported via a water-level error code.
