A contactor (teleruttore) is an electromechanical device that opens and closes the contacts of an electrical circuit when its coil is energised, allowing controlled starting and stopping of three-phase electric motors. This spare part is a genuine ABB contactor type VB6A-30-10-P, part of ABB's reversing contactor range: two mechanically and electrically interlocked contactors combined together allow the motor's direction of rotation to be reversed, for driving machines that need to run both clockwise and counter-clockwise.

Control coil 24V AC, 8 NO (normally open) contacts. ABB brand, a reference name in industrial electrical components.

Used in three-phase motor control panels on food-processing machinery and industrial plants, as a replacement for worn contactors with a burnt-out coil or oxidised contacts, which cause failure to start, abnormal humming or motor overheating. We recommend replacing with an identical original part to ensure full electrical and mechanical compatibility.
