The Minerva round resin-potted magnet is the magnetic component used in the magnetic safety micro switches fitted on the guards (covers, casings) of La Minerva food processing machines.

Paired with the fixed magnetic sensor on the machine, the magnet detects that the guard is properly closed and enables the motor to start only when the guard is in position: if the guard is opened during operation, the safety circuit cuts power to the motor.

The body is resin-potted to protect the magnet from moisture, dust and processing residue, ensuring stable performance over time in kitchen and food-lab environments.

Replacement is recommended when the safety system no longer correctly detects guard closure, for example when the motor fails to start with the guard closed or the paired micro switch behaves erratically.
