M22 piezoelectric igniter, with a 22 mm threaded body for mounting on the control panel of professional gas cookers, hobs, ovens and other gas appliances fitted with a piezoelectric ignition button.

Operation is purely mechanical: pressing the button makes a piezoelectric crystal generate a high-voltage discharge that jumps across the electrode connected to the burner, producing the spark needed to light the flame. No batteries or electrical power supply are required.

Replace it when pressing the button no longer produces a click or no longer generates a spark (worn or broken piezo element), when the button stays stuck, or when the lead to the electrode is broken and the burner no longer lights.
