The auger drive gear is the transmission gear that couples the motor gearbox to the auger (the worm screw) of the meat grinder unit, transferring the rotary motion needed to push the meat toward the plate and knife. It is compatible with Fama meat grinder model 12, model 22 and model 32 CE (cross-reference Fama F2104).

When the gear teeth wear down or become rounded, the auger turns in jerks, loses drive force, or stalls under load even though the motor keeps running: these are the typical symptoms indicating the auger gear needs to be replaced to restore correct traction on the meat grinder.
