Silver mod. 350-300V/300G tie rod with pin length 188 mm. It is the threaded rod that locks and holds the blade guard (the safety cover protecting the non-cutting edge of the blade) in place on Silver slicers, models 350 and 300 in the V (flywheel) and G (gravity) versions.

The tie rod performs a safety function: when fully tightened it keeps the blade guard firmly mounted; once the thread is stripped, the pin is bent or play develops, the guard no longer seats correctly and the machine can become hazardous. In those cases it must be replaced.
