The finger guard for the slicer pusher plate (pressamerce) is a plastic/PVC safety component fitted on professional slicers, protecting the operator's fingers as the pusher plate slides the food against the blade. It must be replaced when broken, worn, or missing, to prevent fingers from coming into direct contact with the blade during cutting.
