12.5 µF capacitor for 230V single-phase motors, spare part for the H30 / H40 / H50 series motors fitted on mincers, graters and slicers. It is the run/start capacitor that creates the phase shift required to start and run a single-phase asynchronous motor: without an efficient capacitor the motor hums but will not start, starts with difficulty or overheats.
This component degrades over time (capacity loss, swelling, oxidised contacts). Typical symptoms of a worn capacitor: slow or absent start, loss of torque, thermal protection tripping. Replacing it with the correct value restores normal starting and running.
